Wheathill

Holy  Trinity

WV16 6QT

This little church dates back to the 12th century with subsequent alterations. The most ancient parts of the building are the round headed chancel arch and the south doorway.

The plan is a simple nave and chancel with a south porch and western bellcote.

The church is part of the Brown Clee benefice. Read more on their 'A Church Near You' page:-

The benefice also produces an interesting monthly magazine, 'Wheatlands News' which can be downloaded from their website.

This church does not appear in the current edition of 'A Guide to Shropshire's Churches', but is a member of Shropshire Churches Tourism Group.
